Simply Business announces Julie Fisher as UK CEO

11 December, 2024: Simply Business, a digital broker that serves small businesses and landlords, today announced the appointment of Julie Fisher as its new UK CEO.

Fisher, who was serving as the company’s interim CEO, will now lead the UK business as it enters its latest chapter of growth. With more than 35 years of insurance experience, Fisher joined Simply Business as Chief Commercial Officer in 2019, having previously held leadership roles at Churchill, RBS and MoneySuperMarket. 


In her CCO role, Fisher helped scale Simply Business’s panel of insurers – which now sits at 35 leading brands globally – further expanding the levels of choice offered to the SME and landlord markets. Alongside this, Simply Business has more than doubled its customer base in the last five-and-a-half years, this year surpassing the one-million-global-customer milestone. Fisher has also overseen a number of digital innovations delivered as part of Simply Business’s ongoing efforts to simplify and improve customers’ claims experiences.

Simply Business’s impressive growth in its core offering to microbusinesses and landlords has been fuelled by the continued expansion in its reach and distribution. The digital broker has an increasing portfolio of products, including commercial combined, contractors combined, and commercial vehicle insurance, to serve an even greater proportion of SMEs through its online platform.
