Small business owners are invited to hear from inspiring female founders at our first Empowering Women in Business networking event in London.
Harpreet Kaur, the winner of The Apprentice and founder of her own dessert parlour business will be among the speakers at the event on 23 November.
Also joining the panel is Lucy Hitchcock, founder of a business that saw viral success in lockdown, and Merlie Calvert, founder of tech startup Farillio.
4 reasons to join our Empowering Women in Business event
1. Share stories and connect with a community
There will be plenty of time to meet with other like-minded business owners and share stories and experiences. We know it can feel isolating at times running a business, so we hope bringing this community together will help you feel inspired and supported.
2. Hear from inspiring women entrepreneurs
Harpreet Kaur, Lucy Hitchcock and Merlie Calvert all have unique insight into what it takes to run a successful business.
Harpreet is going to speak about her inspirational journey as a female entrepreneur, starting with Oh So Yum and going on to win The Apprentice. She said: “I can’t wait to be a guest speaker at the event to talk about what it means to be a female founder in 2022.”

3. Get practical tips from experts
Whether you’re looking for tips on how to improve your social media presence for your business, or how to attract more customers, you’ll have the chance to put your questions to the experts.
Lucy Hitchcock brings her experience of running Sassy Digital, an agency that supports other businesses with digital marketing, branding and website design. She’s also seen viral success with her lockdown project, Partner in Wine, where the business grew a social media following and is now on the shelves in Selfridges and Oliver Bonas.
The team at Farillio will also be at our event, so you can find out about how they support small businesses with legal guides and resources.
4. Exclusive goodies and prize giveaways
Without giving too much away, there’s going to be plenty of freebies on the day. This includes the opportunity to win an iPad for just showing up*, and an exclusive startup guide from Farillio.
Tickets are limited so we’ll be offering these using a ballot system. Find out more and sign up today.
